What is Stake.Football?
Peer-to-peer football sportsbook. A user (“book creator”) posts a private 1X2 market (Home/Draw/Away). Friends join with a link, place bets within posted limits, and the book creator settles after the match.
How do invites work?
Share your private link, e.g. https://stake.football/bookie/?join=CODE. Bets can be placed until 60s before kickoff.
What does 1X2 mean?
1 = Home win, X = Draw, 2 = Away win. Odds are decimal.

What is a “Book”?
A private market for a single match with its own odds and limits.
What are “Limits”?
Minimum and maximum stake per bet defined by the book creator.
What is “Kickoff”?
Match start time. Entered in local time, stored in UTC, displayed per-device in local time.
What is the “Rake”?
1% of each wager goes to the platform.
Players (Bettors)
How do I place a bet?
Open the invite link, review teams/odds/limits/kickoff, pick 1/X/2, enter your amount, confirm. Bets are blocked in the last 60s before kickoff and after kickoff.
How is my potential payout calculated?
Potential Payout = Stake × Odds.
How is Player P/L computed?
- Win: Payout − Stake
- Loss: −Stake
- Void: 0
When do I see results?
After the owner settles. Your bet shows WON / LOST / VOID and your wallet updates automatically.
Book Creators (Owners)
How do I create a book?
Go to Create / Join Football Book. Enter League, Home, Away, Kickoff (future, local date & time), Odds (1/X/2), Min/Max stake, then click Create Book.
What are my restrictions while the book is open?
- You cannot bet on your own book.
- You cannot close the book if any bets exist.
- Bettors can place bets until T−60s.
How do I settle a book?
At/after kickoff, betting closes. When ready, choose the result (Home / Draw / Away / Void) and click Settle.
